Quick Note On Skis and Mirror Ponds

Just a quick note, as I keep getting emails & back-in-stock requests, regarding the replacement skis we sell....

Skis are on indefinite hold right now, as I'm going through a "ski crisis" myself. Part of the problem with doing this kind of work, is getting qualified people onboard. Unfortunately, as I was telling a customer the other day, the BEST people I've dealt with, were all the "old school" guys. I'm 56, and most of the guys who possess the knowledge, desire, skill, and love needed to do this kind of thing, were all born at least 25 years before I was born.

The guy who did all my metal stamping, was one such guy. And, unfortunately, time caught up with him, so now I'm scrambling around trying to find another guy who can/wants to do it..... Same thing with the guy I used to get those blue glass mirror ponds from...small, local glass shop, guy was around for 50+ years...he died, his son wants nothing to do with the business, result: Another extinct trade...... That's also why there haven't been any new Bulb Covers or exclusive figures in a while.....the guy who did my sculpting, was an old timer, who used to work for the Knickerbocker Toy Co. Another incredibly talented man, that time took (In all fairness, he was 98...maybe if he didn't smoke, he'd still be around) I thought I found some new guys to carry on where he left off, two brothers named Igor & Boris (I kid you not) BUT.....they're over in the Ukraine, and I haven't heard from them in over a year now, hope they're OK, and just relocated or something.

Anyway, just wanted to get this out there, and ask that people stop emailing me, etc about these items....trust me, I'm working on it, and when they come back, you guys will be the first to know!
